How Mirror writes and checks its astrology and personality pages: facts computed in code, AI-assisted drafts, automated checks and human approval.

Updated October 29, 2026

Facts come from code

Every fact a page states comes from code we can test: zodiac dates, elements, modalities and rulers, MBTI function stacks, Enneagram wings and arrows, compatibility scores, and the dates of transits and eclipses. Writers get a fact sheet built from that code for each page and must use it as given.

Our methodology page explains how the scores and type matches are worked out.

How pages are written

We draft pages with the help of AI writing tools, working from those fact sheets and a written brief for each section of the site. The brief asks for plain, specific writing about one sign, type or pairing, and rules out invented statistics, studies, quotes and famous people.

Where a page goes beyond the facts, such as what a ruling planet is often said to mean, it presents that as a reading, not as a fact.

Automated checks

Our sign, type, compatibility and horoscope pages go through automated tests before they can be published. They confirm that every fact matches the shared data, so a sign page and a type page can't contradict each other, and that every score quoted is a real score. They also flag stock filler phrases, and fail any page that repeats more than a small share of its wording from another page.

A person on the Mirror team reads the pages and approves every change before it goes live.

Dates and updates

The "Updated" date on a page is the last time its content changed. We revise pages when the facts, our method or the writing improves, and we don't change dates just to look fresh.

Independence

Mirror makes an iOS app, and our pages link to it. No one pays to appear on our pages, and we don't publish sponsored content. Our own app is the only product we promote.

What we don't claim

Astrology and personality typing are ways of reflecting on yourself and others. They aren't sciences, and nothing on this site is medical, psychological, legal or financial advice.
